About the GK Walk and Gawad Kalinga
The GK program has already helped more than a thousand
families by building homes and changing their lives, providing them with hope for a
brighter future regardless of their race, religion or ethnic background. The GK
program not only builds homes and communities but is holistic in its approach,
providing health, education, and livelihood programs for families and their
children. Hundreds of children from GK villages are also sponsored by generous
Canadians every year.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT
Anyone can do great works of charity. The challenge is sustaining the work. We
work with the help of anyone and everyone with big willing hearts. Our partners,
volunteer, architects, engineers and carpenters, doctors, nurses, midwives,
dentists, teachers, writers, people from all religious, social, and academic
backgrounds, government and private sectors --- come together with one purpose:
answer the cry of the poor.
