GK, short for "Gawad Kalinga" is the Filipino phrase "To Give Care". Gawad Kalinga is a Christian based organization founded by the Couples for Christ which helps the very poor in the Philippines and other countries by providing sturdy housing, child education,
livelihood programs and essential values formation.
Your participation and generosity in the GK Walk will help continue GK's work which has already built more than 50,000 homes in 1,700 communities in just the past 4 years. GK helps the poor from all walks of life regardless of faith and denomination. GK has already helped many Muslim Filipinos in war torn regions of the Philippines.
